Sofia Sofia Ann AnnSofia Pernas was born in Fes, Morocco, and saw a lot of the world before eventually finding her way to Los Angeles. While her initial focus was toward journalism, Pernas' life took unintentionally a turn after she was approached by a fashion person and eventually an actor agent, who set her career on track. Her Moroccan parent of the actress and the Galician dad of the family are behind her unique look. Sofia Pernas (born 1989) is an actor from Morocco and Spain that lives in Los Angeles. She appears in The Brave. At the age of five her family moved to America and grew in Orange County. She is multilingual, as the mother of her Moroccan heritage and father are Spanish. In order to speak the four languages she's studied Arabic, English Spanish, and German. Her initial plan was to pursue a career in journalism, but was then scouted for modeling career. She performed the role of Marisa Sierras on The Young and the Restless and also appeared in the CW telenovela, Jane the Virgin with Justin Baldoni as well as Gina Rodriguez. In the NBC series The Brave, she plays Hannah Rivera, a Defense Intelligence Agency employee.
