April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing guitar and taking piano classes, which ignited her love for music writing. April's first song was Different. She wrote it when she was 12 years old. She spent lots of time at 14 writing songs and practicing music. Then, she began taking trips across NY and LA along with her dad so that they could both write songs. April added other themes to the track "Take My Hand" for a few of her friends who dealt with issues such as peer pressurization disabilities, and even teenage suicide. Lockhart is an influencer in the beauty and lifestyle industry with a growing number of followers. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership and is also a lifestyle expert. Her birthplace didn't come having a left-handed hand, which is why she's the person she is. It's just not the whole story. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore the fact that she has a disability. However, it doesn't emphasize it. What message is it trying to convey? We are all more than our physical selves. Our identities are complicated and we contain many different dimensions. Lockhart states in the video Lockhart via video "I don't think that should define my character. My goal is not to be an influencer on disability, because I've plenty to offer." My day-today life is not dependent on it. I lead a normal day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to issues. The same is true for my life, and I think it should be discussed. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that will last a lifetime, but she is an inspiration with regard to this. She admits that she's been through phases with her body and sometimes not being confident in wearing particular types of clothes showing how much of her body. She can wear whatever she likes, and is proud to share photos of herself wearing these clothes. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I believe that you will ever be there," she said. It's a long journey. I don't think you ever get there. It's my opinion that having those with you who are aware of you and know your feelings is crucial as they'll be the ones that remind you of what are you concerned about?
