Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on 8 August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Her parents a dental surgeon and a teacher recognised and encouraged her passion for theater and acting at an early age, which superseded an initial desire to become a primatologist thanks to her fascination with monkeys. There was an immediate rise for her to become a well-known young actor. Following her studies in 1998 she participated in the French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching the journey to become an actor. Tautou studied at Institut Catholique de Paris, attended church as a young girl and was raised Catholic. But she has now distanced herself with her Catholic upbringing. She pursued a career in modeling alongside her acting career and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting profession she is also interested in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs during Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival with the title Superficial. Her photographs are largely about famous people and celebrities. They also feature self-portraits in addition. Audrey Tautou became a star and was recognized internationally for her role debut as Amelie Poulain in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been a box office hit internationally and has been lauded at numerous award events around the globe. It is the most successful French language film in the US. Following this massive success, Tautou starred in many films which included British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
