Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to achieve a score of 10 in a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics trainer who became Comaneci's coach later on found her around the age of six. At first, she competed in the junior national championships of Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. She won three golds in her debut competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by communist countries. In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior champion in all-round competitions. At her first competitive event in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals, as well with one silver. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman in history to complete the backward double salto in an unmounting from uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a professional in the world of entertainment in her teens. She began her career by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performance.
